WINTER IS HERE ...............

dry leaves rustling

        cold breath frosting
             colours red and yellow

              

 whispers on icy winds

        birds fluttering

           stark branches against white skies

wet dark earth mulching
        big fat worms squiggling
              early dark nights




warm crackling fireplaces
     hot wine with cinnamon
          soups and stews


thick fleecy blankets
          cats under duvets
            dogs growling in basket

dark misty mornings
         cockadoodle cackling
               flutters of wings


aloes and succulents flowering
   
       with colours vibrant and bright



clear stark blue skies
        bright sunshine
               on cold winds
