soooo ................. ready for Christmas ..............


19th December 2012 , 6 days to Christmas Eve and I am ready for it ...........

The Tree is up , for what it's worth ............bought a tiny little thing last year, as I was tired 
of the big tree and all the decorations for it .............

we are not doing presents this year, so no shopping, got the leg of lamb and the gammon
so just need to go get veggies and make the rice pudding ...........

    oh, I can imagine the smell of leg of lamb [ with rosemary ] <-- something I haven't had for ages! how yummy!
    It's been a struggle, but I may finish my shopping and wrapping today!

    1. rosemary and garlic, doll, mmmhhhmm, I think am going to ask Mr T to make it in the Webber this year, he made such a gorgeous beef roast a few weeks ago, it is huge, doubt will fit in oven. Loads of olive oil and herbs, yum yum.

      Thank the lord no shops and no more wrapping, we decided time together, all of us, we will be about 30 on Christmas Day. is more important.

    1. a lot of the decorations were getting really tatty, had to chuck them out, just found another box hidden away and is contemplating putting up. In the old days we even had Danish flags and candles on the tree, all brought back bit by bit or sent by my parents. Soooooooooo many years ago *sigh*

    I dunno whats going on but I bought myself a cooked roast pork dinner and enjoyed every mouthful. I have found myself wanting to eat meat again. Huh???

  10. This is wonderful! I did mine in 48 hours and thought I was finished until I saw your poinsettia! I cooked my ham last night. Will see children and their respective wife/boyfriend on Christmas Day and then son and his wife flying to Florida for New Year and daughters boyfriend has a surprise getaway for her for New Year. I know where but cannot say yet!

    1. the gammon ham I bought was dreadful, should have thought of asking you first, I saw it was uncooked, but thought surely can do in the Weber ? should have boiled it first *sniff* ........... mind you also full of fat, jeiks, hate fatty stuff. Happy you had a good one. Hugs

    1. it was a nice Christmas , thank you Milli and thank you for reminding me of Garden Gurus, I for the earth of me could not remember when Kenneth and I took that walk, then just saw the protea in bloom again and realised must have been November or December last year, well now year after last LOL ......... 2011.

      Have posted. Happy new year, Milli, I do have another idea too for Garden Gurus, must get my post together for a walk through my garden, a walk in the nursery etc for December 2012.
